Well, I was very happy with my solemnisation, and other than the guest that attended the ceremony, I would like to thank Mr Sean See (my “shifu”) and Mr Chiu Weeming (my upperstudy) for the hardwork of this event… Really really “GAM XIA”

Had an entire weekend comprising of weddings….. Firstly, working as an emcee/brother/gay stylist for my buddy Vincent.. and I picked a couple of photos from his album …

My role started from.. a gay stylist…

.. to a pink bodyguard…

… than finally as a drinking riot leader…..

and we are actually a clan called the pink brigade.

These are our members..

We are easily identified by our pink tie….

and we usually have a bunch of beautiful ladies looking after us..

Of course… our duty is really very much to …

 protect our boss and his wife… to the extend that we ..

… sacrifice ourselves thru any means of poison..

and ensure that he is free from any forms of unknown mechanisms..

 hahahaa….

Started the day accompanying Vincent & Liming to try out their fittings as well as our own for their Customary Wedding… Gosh.. knowing Lydia.. I really would expect her to take a longer time when its our turn… and after 3 hours of tedious selection.. we proceeded with our photography trip…

Well, you see.. the “cheapo” Singaporeans like us.. only know how to DIY.. so we actually just played around with the nice areas that Singaporean Photographers like to hang out at.. but oh well.. Although not very classy photography.. but I’m very much satisfied with our own Homemade Album…

 

And of course not to forget our friends… Vincent & Liming..

I wouldn’t go into depth of their photo set.. but it was a fabulous trips which personally I enjoy..

And oh yah.. for the liverpool fans that have watched the Manchester United Vs Liverpool match… too bad scousers.. try harder next season…

I just popped the biggest question in my life a few hours ago… And trust me.. for a person with skin as thick as mine… it’s really NOT easy. And to round it up.. the whole process is probably worst than going into BMT…

 Actually.. as most of my MSN buddies know.. I have already booked my solemnization date on the 2nd Feb 08.. bought the rings.. got the dinner package.. applied the date and etc.. And Lydia, like most girls.. always dream of a TV fantasy sort of marriage proposal… Problem is.. on TV the ring the guy buys and proposes always fit the gal.. but thats TV…

 Anyway, so after knowing that Lydia had to attend a friend’s wedding dinner today.. I already made plans of how I intend to propose… but well things didn’t turn out 100% as planned..

 1830HRS - Lydia leaves my home to attend friends wedding dinner… I bid her goodbye and told her maybe I’ll round up the guys later in the evening for some programme..

1835HRS - I started to prepare and get ready myself for the proposal.. I haven’t really been looking in the mirror for such a long time since this year…It practically took me an hour….

1935 HRS - Caught a cab to Far East Shopping Centre.. Orchard Rd was a beautiful sight tonight !

2000 HRS - Went up to the fifth floor at Far East Shopping Centre to get the roses.. WaH LAU EH ! Closed ! Rushed straight down to Tanglin Mall…

2020 HRS - Alamak.. Can’t find a florist in sight… I’m having gastric also as I didn’t eat much the whole day… finally found the roses in the supermarket.. but they are not trimmed and not suitable to give out as a bouquet.. asked the cashier.. only to learn that the florist has left.. she directed me to the nearest florist.. which is around the corner…

2025 HRS - The florist that the cashier earlier on had redirected me… closed. Wah kao !! I could try Trader’s Hotel which was at the back… but….

2030 HRS - ..Traders Hotel is closed…. KNS !! Talk about Suay… Now panicky, sweating, and desperate for flowers… started running around aimlessly to look for flowers..

2035 HRS - Ronald called.. ask me want to go play basketball tomorrow morning… I asked him if he know any florist in orchard.. he said taka.. I told him is BLOODY far away.. He told me good luck than… now I’m upset, desperate.. and having a bloody gastric…

2040 HRS - Ronald called again saying that there is a florist in a very hidden alley just next to Tanglin Mall.. BINGO ! I found it… there was only one lil girl mending it.. probably 13 - 14 year old… bought the flowers(slightly being ripped off).. damn tired.. and damn hungry…

2050 HRS - 2220 HRS - Went to curb my hunger at Mac… than hid around Orchard Parade Hotel…

2225 HRS - My pals finally arrived.. at least it was finally justifiable to bring the bloody tua ling kong camera… we proceeded to wait just outside the ballroom of the wedding banquet…

We proceeded back to the lobby.. and this time I had to make a call to Lydia, as I may miss her out now that I’m not directly outside the ballroom.. So I made a simple fib, and told her that we are picking her up to go to another place…

Our Solemnisation will NOT be held here on 02022008.

 Anyway… my thoughts for today are… at least I managed to say “Will You Marry Me ?” and I guess this is the first and last time I get to say it…(there’s no other chance !) And it’ll be something that I can share with my kids to come.. (actually.. its more of Lydia’s pride thing.. she was bugging me about her friends and their proposals..)

Than again… read on to see more of our Solemnisation Ceremony to come !

Had a great outing with my now-married friends(and also frequent kakis), Vincent and Sebastian. Along with their wifes & Lydia, we had dinner at Tiong Bahru Market. Bloody Hell ! Paid for super-expensive satay ! 

 Embarking towards Settlers Cafe for board games, we took a wrong turn somewhere near Funan, and was stuck with very heavy traffic at about 10pm… only to find that there were FIREWORKS ! And it was a superb view, that looked like one of those drive-in old school style movie cinema sort of feeling. And like most of the other Singaporeans, stepped out of the car, to catch a closer and beautiful glimpse of the fireworks… fantastic…

After the fireworks display, finally managed to grab a slot at Settler’s Cafe (North Canal Road), which we booked for 2 hours to play 3 different games. The first, a numbers game, much more like a casino sort, in which questions are asked, and than a bet on the answers.. but well, not being too trivia people, we changed for a pretty action packed card game, which was a bit of reaction and memory.. that was very fun.. but we thought we played one of the more popular games that most other tables played.. also known and “Gangs and guns” which is holding a gun, and either shooting a blank or really killing the other players with it.. and than sharing the loot.. interesting.. I wanna play subuteo next time !

Had small chats with the other 2 married man, and their advice on the process.. CHEAP is good.. haha.. =p Also, who says there is no life after marriage, seems like it makes people feel re-borned again.. It’s no longer trying to look good, or being impressive, but being simple and looking towards a comfortable relaxed life..

Also, as most people know, I have now migrated from Blogspot..and much back to the blogging scene once again.. Thanks for all the support for my loyal readers !
